MARWA Islamic Centre Melbourne Fundraising Dinner
Muslim Association of Riverina and Wagga Wagga (MARWA) has been serving the Wagga Wagga and Riverina community since 2009.
The existing Islamic Study Centre at the Charles Sturt University (CSU), Wagga Wagga campus, comprising of only two rooms, has been catering for the spiritual and social needs of Muslims of Riverina for the last twenty one (21) years.
However, in recent years the facility has now become severely inadequate for the growing number and needs of Muslims adults, youth and children, due to the significant increase in the Muslim population in the city of Wagga Wagga.
To address the issue, MARWA, with the generous assistance of Muslims in Wagga Wagga, have been raising funds for the last nine (9) years and has now purchased land valued at $229,000 for building the region’s first Islamic Community Centre.
It is for this reason that MARWA has organised a fundraising dinner at the Umma Centre Hall, Doncaster on Saturday, 1st September, 2018, and seeks help from Muslim brothers and sisters, organisations and businesses to make this event a success.
The proposed Islamic Centre will comprise the following:
